If you are like many people, you may occasionally bothered by cold sores.  These can be hard to live with and even harder to get rid of.  In order to help relieve you from these bothersome ailments, you need to know some effective methods to help you get rid of them.

There are many people who swear that the best way to get rid of a cold sore is by using an over the counter medication which you can get at any local pharmacy.  This can be a great way to help you get rid of cold sores quickly and effectively.  If you want to find the best medication to use, you should talk to a pharmacist at the drug store and they can certainly advise you what to use.

Another way to get rid of that painful cold sore quickly is to get it as clean as you possibly can.  By keeping the area around the cold sore clean, it may promote faster healing.  Also, by gently cleaning the cold sore as well, it can make a difference in the amount of time it takes it to heal.

Although this is not a cure, it can certainly eliminate the appearance of a cold sore and that is if you are a woman to camouflage it with makeup.  This can significantly reduce the redness and inflammation that appears when you have a cold sore.  However, you will need to cleanse the skin immediately after wearing makeup because this can actually contribute to your cold sore getting worse in time.

    I have gotten cold sores since I was arond nine and I was always told not to touch it because it would spread. So I had to suffer with the enbrassing thing.I’m so glad that there are ways to help make it go away faster.Thank you so much!

    I get cold sore all the time for no reason but i strat to you caluiam lotion and than my uncle told me to use a match it works it was gone in 2 days i loved it
